Cows in Hinduism
Hindu religion considers cows as goddesses, as it bestows us with life-saving milk. Even Lord Krishna is known as Govinda and Gopala—'Lord and Guardian of Cows.' As per Hinduism, the cow is symbolic of wealth and good fortune and is worshiped as Kamdhenu, the sacred cow, which is considered the source of all prosperity. Vedas link cows to well-being and prosperity in the household. Sri Devraha Baba once said, 'A Hindu can be recognized by the way he loves and worships cows.' Baba believed cows will one day save Bharat Varsh (India).
